Starr Gaither Kendrick fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning & directing a performing arts center ten years ago when she opened "STARRZ" Performing Arts Centre in Pell City , AL . Since age 3, Starr Gaither has had only one burning passion, that is to entertain. She teaches Jazz, Tap, Ballet/Pointe, Lyrical, Hip-hop, Baton, Musical Theater, AllStar Cheerleading, Tumbling, Male Strength Training & Pageant Preparation. Creativity and talent flow through the veins of all her family members as well.

Starr is no stranger to the judges seat, having judged National level dance and cheer competitions, as well as Junior Miss and Cinderella scholarship pageants.

She is an award winning choreographer in great demand. Starr has choreographed opening numbers for numerous collegiate level half-time shows, as well as opening acts & physical fitness routines for Junior Miss pageants, and numerous Cinderella pageants. Starr has done collegiate level choreography for the musicals: Grease , Bye Bye Birdie , Annie and Hairspray . Starr has been awarded numerous choreography and performance awards within her competition dance teams throughout her career. Her students have gone on to be accepted in the Alabama School of Fine Arts, perform with the Alabama Ballet in the Nutcracker , crowned Miss Sweetheart Alabama, as well as win auditions with major motion picture companies, such as John Robert Powers. Miss Starr won a full four year scholarship in cheerleading and was the captain of her squad. She also completed course work for a dance and theatre degree from Troy University.

Starr is certified by Dance Educators of America teacher training program. Her course of studies enabled her to travel to Paris , France and Las Vegas , Nevada where she studied under world-renowned instructors. She is also certified at master level by the National Council for Spirit, Safety, and Education (NCSSE); she is also certified in stunting and tumbling up to level 5, and she has continuing education courses in: Cheerleading Fundamentals, Cheerleading & Dance Coaching, Program Management, & Cheerleading Principles and Ethics.

Starr is also an accomplished gymnast, and began showing impressive ability even in her preschool years. She auditioned for Fox's reality dance show "So You Think You Can Dance" in Memphis TN and made it onto television. Starr had recently lead her competition dance teams to win the Super Grand Championship at the Dance USA Nationals in Branson, MO. They will be traveling to Barcelona, Spain to compete on the international level, representing the US!

She has a deep passion for performing arts and has made a life of sharing her knowledge of the arts with people of all ages!

She lives with her husband, Bradley Kendrick in Pell City with their two dogs!
