Dear Parents,

I would like to begin this year by saying Thank You!  Thank you for allowing us to give your child the gift that last a lifetime…Performing Arts!  We are very excited to start this new year and we know that it will be just as successful as the last 10 years with your support. 

We are very excited about our tenth year of STARRZ  and we know you will be pleased under the instruction of our very qualified and talented instructors: Myself, Starr Gaither Kendrick (dance, tumbling and school cheerleading squads), Alyssa Duke(dance & baton), Kate Waldrop (ballet), Deanna Duke (music lessons),  Shelli Underwood (tumbling & ACX), Tiffany McRlroy Clark (tumbling & ACX), assistant instructors: Kaitlyn Gossett (dance), Jordan Smith (dance)  and Chasidy Capps (dance). Our wonderful and loving administration: Ami Rodgers, Rebecca Capps (Business Partner) and Sherri Rickles can help you during any business hours with your account or any questions you may have.

We have recently opened a 2nd location in Ashland Al. We will be teaching dance & tumbling. We have also re-opened our American AllStarrz Cheer X-treme Team! We are gearing up for a wonderful year of all star cheerleading under the instruction of former Ace of Al coach, Mrs. Tiffany McElroy Clark & Miss Shelli Underwood!

Dance Attire

We are adamant about our dress code this year. NO STUDENTS SHOULD WEAR REVEALING CLOTHING THAT MIGHT/COULD SHOW THE REAR END OR THE BELLY. STOMACHS SHOULD BE COVERED AT ALL TIMES and HAIR PULLED BACK! All female dancers must wear leotard and tights to class. If the correct attire is not worn to class, he/she will not be able to participate in class. Jazz pants and ballet skirts are acceptable.  Male Dancers may wear jazz pants and a tee-shirt. All shoes and dance uniforms can be purchased from “STARRZ” .

Daycare, Mommy & Me Dancers (Including Mommy’s) & Twinkle Toes: Pink Leather Ballet Shoes & Tan Student Tap Shoes.
Little Dipper Dancers & Star Bright Dancers: Pink Split Sole Ballet Shoes, Tan Student Tap Shoes & Tan jazz sandals. 
Star Dust Dancers, Shooting Star Dancers and Senior Dancers: Pink leather Split Sole Ballet Shoes,  Tan Tap Shoes Boots, Tan jazz sandals.
Baton: Tan Jazz Sandals
Pointe: Pointe shoe can be purchased at Dancer’s Image, Dance N Things, or Applause Dance Wear. All STARRZ Students receive 10% discount. 
Tumbling and Cheernastics: Must wear cheer shorts and a fitted shirt with hair pulled back and clean light weight tennis shoes.     

We have several performances throughout the year and we will all need to wear the same uniform.  Short sleeve Tee-shirts will go on sale in September. Please keep an eye on our Website www.starrzpac.com &  bulletin boards to pre-order  your sizes.

All Dance Shoes (other than pointe shoes) must be ordered from STARRZ. 

General Information

Each student that is planning on participating in any community performances must purchase a STARRZ T-shirt. Tuition is due on the first day of the month and late by the 7th.  A late fee of $10 will be applied to your account if tuition is late.  Please make all checks payable to “STARRZ”, make sure to include your child’s name on the check. 

We are proud to announce that the 2009-2010 dance production will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 & Saturday, June 12, 2010 (Rehearsal Friday June 11, 2010) at The Center For Education and Performing Arts here in Pell City! 

Recital Costume fee’s are due by November 20, 2009. You may split your payment up, first payment will be due August 21, 2009, second payment September 18, 2009, third payment October 23, 2009 and final payment November 20,2009.  Costume measurements will be taken the 1st week of December.  When we measure we will be sure to leave at least one size for growing room.  Please make sure your dancer is present in class the week of measurements.  Costumes will be ordered over the Christmas Holidays.  There are absolutely NO refunds or returns for costumes. All Costumes must be paid in full by November 20, 2009 or they will not be ordered. 

Parents please check newsletters and memo’s in your child’s bag after dance. You can now find all memo’s on our Website at www.starrzpac.com. Explanation of Billing Procedures

Tuition is due in advance on the first of each month.  A late fee of $10.00 is added on the 7th of each month if processing of card is declined.  There is no extra charge for the months that your student might have 5 weekly classes per month.  Conversely we do not pro-rate tuition on months that contain holidays.  Nor do we pro-rate tuition for classes in which the student does not attend.  We observe all major holidays noted on the Pell City School System calendar.Should you decide to drop enrollment from any class, please notify  Ami Rodgers or Sherri Rickles.  Do not leave a message with teachers or other staff who do not handle billing.  Otherwise,  the position in the class will continue to be held and you will be billed for that class whether or not the student attends.  Tuition is due for the entire month in which students drop out. Payment of monthly tuition is due by the 6th of each month.  If payment is NOT made in this time period, we will charge the account balance IN FULL to the credit card listed on your Registration Form.
